Welcome to the Branson JetCenter
Manager's NoteGood morning! My name is Ken Palmer, Manager of the Branson JetCenter. As we work toward the completion of our third week in operation, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who helped make our Grand Opening a huge success. Seeing this airport come to life has been nothing short of amazing. To have a chance to be a part of the construction and operation of the nation's first privately developed commercial service airport has been the most rewarding experience of my aviation career. The response from the GA community has been tremendous. We have received well wishes from aircraft management companies, aircraft brokerage firms, aircraft owners and pilots alike, on both the local and national level. Thanks to all of you. We look forward to servicing all of your aviation needs for years to come. I have received several thoughtful comments and questions, both via phone and email, regarding our fee structure and our reasoning behind it. I would like to share the main portion of my response with you here. As I said above, Branson Airport is the nation's first privately developed commercial service airport. Being private means we do not accept any municipal, state or federal tax money. This allows us a large amount of flexibility when thinking outside the box, which is the main reason we were able to complete this project in 22 months ... an amazing feat by anyone's standards. With this flexibility, we were able to create a unique experience for the commercial traveler. Our goal was to continue this concept on the GA side of the airport. Everyone who walks into the Branson JetCenter has made a positive comment about the facility. From the stone fireplace to the barn wood floors, the branded wood signs to the wood beam construction, it's clear this is not your average FBO experience. This was the feeling we wanted to capture. However, it was also important to us that we provide the level of service most crews and passengers have come to expect. For this reason, we offer Wi-Fi throughout the executive terminal, WSI Pilotbrief Pro, a pilot lounge, sleep rooms, a conference room, in-flight catering, crew cars, private phone room, public use computers, fax/copy/scanners, rental cars, complimentary coffee/ice/newspapers, vending machines, a short-game practice golf facility for free use by our customers and an inviting lobby that feels more like a lodge than the usual FBO. Since Branson Airport does not accept any public funding, the only way to cover the cost of these services is to have a fee structure that works for both the facility AND the customer. Our goal, now and in the future, is to keep the fees as low as possible while consistently exceeding your expectations with our facility and services. We do have landing and handling fees, which vary depending on the size of your aircraft. However, it's important to note that both of those fees are waived with the minimum fuel purchase for your aircraft type. Our regular customers have found that, with the proper planning, landing and handling costs can be waived by simply ensuring they can take the minimum fuel required for their aircraft type. If you have any questions, would like to speak with me directly, or would like the specific fees for your aircraft, please don't hesitate to call customer service at 417-334-8234. Again, thank you for your continued support. Your feedback is valuable to us. Regards, Ken Palmer |
